Originally by: Warzer I read this all the time. people saying they are making 30mil, 40mil,or 60mil and hr doing just lvl 4 missions. I wanted to know how?
I have started doing lvl 4 missions recently in amarr space and seem to only get about 2mil per lvl 4 mission before loot. Since i hear its faster to make money just doing the miss and not looting figured i would try it. well i made 2mil in 2hrs doing 2 lvl 4s. so 1mil per hr but not including loot. i got about 10 badges and a few heavy weps. otherwise the loot actually sucked. and to sell it i would have to transport it 10 jumps and multiple trips unless i go get my indy.
So fill Us in, how exactly do you make this much and where do the numbers come from? pure isk? isk/loot? isk/loot/salvage? how many alts to you use to help you make this? how many ships per account are required?
I might pull 30 million an hour if I'm lucky with the missions my agent is giving me, the system is lag free and I don't get any ninja-salvagers trying to crash my mission. Typically though, I make about half as much. That figure is including all bounties, loot and salvage from all wrecks within 40km of me, the end and bonus mission rewards and any LP awarded (assuming 1000 isk per LP, though I occasionally get less than that).
As another poster mentioned, you'll get a lot of exaggeration on the forums about mission completion times and mission profit. You'll also run into a lot of people considering "an hour run" to be from the time they used the first gate to the time they warped out. I personally consider it from the time of accepting the mission to the time of turning it in.
Personally, I don't think I would get close to what I am getting if I weren't missioning with two characters simultaneously. One tanks/tractors/DPSes in a golem, the other kinda-tanks/salvages/DPSes in a Dominix. Not having to come back to loot and salvage significantly reduces your mission completion times. Another benefit of missioning with two characters like that is that you basically get the benefits of having two agents from one... by that, I mean that you can somewhat cherry pick the missions you run or keep one open to farm day to day without halting your ability to continue running missions with that agent.
